Who are you?
I’m Guy Gregory, Communications Specialist for Montana Cooperative Development Center in Great Falls, Montana.
How long have you worked with cooperatives?
Just over 3 1/2 years.
Describe your role.
I build relationships with established and new co-ops across Montana. I get to share their stories through written articles and feature videos with social media followers and other media organizations.
What do you enjoy about working with cooperatives?
I believe cooperatives are the best types of businesses out there because they are democratically governed and serve in the best interests of their member-owners.
When did you join CCA? Why?
I joined CCA in 2016 to network with other co-op communicators from across the nation.
Did anything surprise you about CCA?
Yes, I’m surprised at how innovative our members are in their jobs as co-op communicators. I’ve learned new ways of writing better articles and producing quality video productions that have a more personal impact.
What’s been your favorite thing about CCA so far?
I enjoy the camaraderie with fellow CCA members. The professional relationships I’ve built through CCA have been very beneficial in helping me to improve my skills as a co-op communicator.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I like to travel and take scenic photographs of my adventures.
Do you have a “bucket list”? What are some of the things on that list?
There are several places in Alberta, Canada, I have yet to see.
Give us something about yourself that is surprising or that most people don’t know.
I’m a big alternative rock music fan from my days of DJ’ing at our college rock station back in the 1990’s during the “grunge rock” era. I recently got to see one of my favorite rock bands, Collective Soul, in concert.
