Candace Croft, CCC, editor of the cooperative’s monthly member newsletter, Current Light Flashes, serves as the co-op’s Youth Tour program coordinator and runs the co-op’s social media. She works to facilitate the cooperative’s advertising, community and media relations efforts, school programs and community events. Croft has been a Certified Cooperative Communicator (CCC) through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association since 2007, a member of the Cooperative Communicators Association (CCA) since 2007, and earned her Master Cooperative Communicator (MCC) certificate from CCA in 2012. She is currently a member of CCA’s board of directors. Croft holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Florida and has been employed by West Florida Electric since 2005.
Vance Crowe is a communications consultant that has worked for corporations and international organizations around the world. He has spoken before more than 90,000 people, answering questions about some of the most sophisticated and controversial technology in the modern age. Vance helps organizations realize why the general public doesn’t agree with their perspective and offers new ways to communicate that effectively resolve disagreements and builds rapport with critics and stakeholders.
Vance is the former Director of Millennial Engagement for Monsanto, a Communications Strategist for the World Bank Group, a returned U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer stationed in Kenya, a former Communications Coordinator at a National Public Radio affiliate in Northern California and was a deckhand on an eco-tourism ship that traveled the Western Hemisphere. His stories and lessons illuminate aspects of communications that remain hidden to most people.
Vance holds a degree in communications from Marquette University and a Master’s Degree in Cross-Cultural Negotiations from the Seton Hall School of Diplomacy.
Johnny Eaker, co-founder and video strategist of Cosmic Sauce, a video storytelling agency, brings tremendous experience in video strategy to Cosmic Sauce. Before helping found the agency, he was a video director at a Fortune 50 company, where he worked with high-profile partners like the NBA, helped lead national campaigns and helped grow the brand’s social media presence to more than two million followers.
Josh has 15 years of experience in communications. He started as a general reporter in the St. Louis Metro East Area and later spent 7 years as editor of Prairie Farmer magazine. He currently leads The Maschhoffs’ internal and external communications program. He resides in O’Fallon, IL with wife Tiffany and their two children, Linus and Brooklyn.
Keith has more than 18 years of experience at an Arkansas electric cooperative, with extensive experience in marketing, communication, advertising, social and digital media, mobile applications, renewable energy and Key Account programs. He holds a B.S.B.A. in marketing from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and is a certified NRECA Key Account Executive, and Energy Auditor including residential lighting and thermography.
Rochelle Ripp Schnadt
Rochelle Ripp Schnadt is a standout voice in the agriculture community, having represented Wisconsin farmers during her year as Alice in Dairyland. She presently serves on the Wisconsin Soybean Association board and works for the Meat Science program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she uses her farm kid upbringing and advocacy skill set to communicate how meat matters.
