We know you’ve all got them — hot projects and stories you completed over the past year. So why not show them off? That’s right, it’s time to submit your hottest examples of writing, photography, programs, projects and publications for the 2017 CCA Communications Contest.
The Cooperative Communicators Association Contest is one way you can expand your communication skills as well as demonstrate your knowledge and expertise. Outstanding communicators and their work will be recognized during the Communications Contest Awards Program in Baton Rouge, La., at the annual CCA Institute in June. Working professionals will critique your entries and select winners in a blind judging process. Contest participants receive valuable feedback and benefit from the chance to view their peer work in an online “Winners Showcase” on the CCA website and in person at the Institute.
Kick it up a notch
The 2016 CCA contest sent 71 different winners — representing 43 cooperatives —home with awards. Eight of those winners only submitted one entry. Enter a little or enter a lot, we’d love to see what hot ideas you’ve been kickin’ up all year long.
Early Bird: February 3, 2017
If you’d like to save your cooperative a little money, shoot for the discounted Early Bird Deadline of February 3. All entries must be received by February 3, not postmarked by that date, and should be mailed to the address listed in each category’s online brochure.

Any CCA Member who has obtained their Master Cooperative Communicator certificate ALSO qualifies for a discount of $5 off each contest entry. (Yes, an MCC who submits entries by February 3 can apply both discounts.)
Review the categories and entry guidelines inside the online brochures, select your best work and get your entries prepared, packed and shipped.
Be sure to review the Tips & Checklist and video to ensure your entries are completed properly. Failure to do so could result in disqualification.

- Open the form on the Contest Web page by selecting “Download.”
- Once the file opens in the browser, select “Download” from the top right corner.
- Locate the downloaded file on your computer, right click and select “Open With.”
- Select “Adobe Reader” and the file will open to a fillable document.
- You may wish to make this your default setting to ensure all PDFs open in Adobe instead of in your browser.
